Remember November

Ah, November, the 11th month in the calendar year, the month where dreams come true, where love abounds, and peace resides.  If you don’t believe me, just ask me, I’ll tell you…hear me now, believe me later.  You get where I am going with this, right?  Yup, November, is quite possibly the greatest month ever to be created as the 11th month of the year!

Let’s take a closer look at November.  Did you know it comes from the Latin, novem, meaning “nine” (the “ber” comes from it being cold, it’s science, fight me)?  It only became the 11th month when everyone realized how awesome it was and that it need two #1s to reflect its awesomeness.  These are all facts, I looked them up.

Alright, what else makes November such an incredible month?  First off, the obvious one we all think of is Black Friday.  Am I right?  Black Friday is the day where we all lose our minds.  We shop ‘til we drop, or until we are trampled by everyone else racing for that discounted 4K TV at Walmart.  Next in line, and a somewhat safer way to shop is Cyber Monday.  Of course, all of this starts getting promoted right after St. Patrick’s Day as stores break out their Christmas decorations reminding us all there is only a short 282 days left to buy, buy, buy!

There are a couple of smaller days you may have heard about, like Thanksgiving.  I mean, if you like to eat a lot of really good food and spend time with family (shudder) then this is the day for you.  It entails eating turkey and stuffing and mashed potatoes and lots of other incredibly delicious foods, like pies.  However, it really is only for those who are into that sort of thing.  I’m sure there are only a couple hundred out there that celebrate this.  Oh, lest I forget, Veterans Day is the other – hug a vet, you owe them your freedom.

But let me get real with you for a moment as I wrap this up.  The real reason November is the greatest month of all time is the fact that it is the birthday month of yours truly.  Yup, November 18th brought light and glory into this world.

Boom.

Now you know.
